Brand spanking new
WEBSITE!!! Look isn’t it beautiful?
…and it has a lot of information. A whole lot, so make the beverage of you choice, get cozy and have a look see.
There are classes and prices and times and accommodations and a bare bones schedule (that will be added to as we progress).
There is an information email addy. So, if you have any questions you can email there and we will do our best to answer them.
Phew, that was a lot of work. Now I can see if there is any yarn to pack for Camp.
We will send out a bulk email on Monday ( not the weekend) to everyone on the attendee list. That would be all 11,459 signed up there.

The Website is great. You all did a fabulous job. It is really wonderful!!! Now I just need to figure out how to get there!! Looks like so much fun.
OMG!!!! The website is AH.MAZ.ING! I was the first one to post that it was up on Ravelry! I wrote down all the classes I want to take, and you all are going to need to extend the summit by at least 3 days. There is no way I am going to be able to choose.
Thank you so much for all your hard work. I am sooo excited!
See you in August!
It’s GORGEOUS! Congratulations to you and all the ST.
OMG! It’s real!
Have a wonderful sock camp.
Tina, the website looks GREAT! I did notice that the Blue Moon logo isn’t clickable on the sponsors page and wanted to let you know. You deserve clicks too.
Have a wonderful time at camp. Relax, enjoy and knit away!
Fantastic, amazing, absolutely wonderful!!!! We could not have asked for more!
You should know that I giggled, possibly excessively, at the ‘see if there is any yarn to pack for camp’.
Holy freakin’ CARP! That class lineup looks fantastic! You done good, girl!
Great website, love the logo. Decided that I need to start buying lottery tickets to have any chance of going, LOL!
Sock. Camp. I can’t belive I’m not going. It’s on the order of not belonging to the sock club (which will, never, ever, happen unless you kick me out)! I miss you all, and expect your to hug everyone for me. (Well, not EVERYONE – you know only the ones that deserve hugs). And Cameron send gummy baby smiles too.
All I can say is WOW! I’m sitting here in Seattle (I got in early for sock camp so I could do some shopping!) and I’m here in the Pacific Place mall trying not to make excited noises that might freak out the mall shoppers. I guess I better not spend too much money this week so I’ll have something left for sock summit!!!!!!!
p.s. we will miss you Cece!
omg. 11.5K people??? I’m looking forward to this, but wowsers. That’s a LOT of people!!
GREAT job on the website, and well worth the wait to see it. Registration is going to be a zoo, I predict, with many thousands competing for the many interesting classes.
I have ONE request–could BMFA put out a special sock yarn colorway based on the logo colors? It would make an awesome souvenir of the event.
Can’t wait for August–even my July trip to France will not overshadow Sock Summit 2009.
IT’s GORGEOUS!!! Thank you for all your hard work, I simply cannot wait for August to get here.
(((hugs)))
I will repeat some of my comment left at the Sock Summit site.
Where are the TIMES of the classes?????? I don’t see them. Please, please, help me! I can just imagine trying to come up with a schedule of all those great classes, but – when are they???
I plan to be there with bells on…
wow, no seriously WOW! I am so excited for you that this event is happening and so very, very disappointed that I can’t attend.
I know this socksummit hasn’t happened yet but if one is held again in a year or two I will be there with bells on.
you all are awsome!
Oh I am going to be at the Sock Summit in spirit, enjoying the vicarious pleasures from thousands of miles away here in Devon where we have been spreading sock madness on a very minor scale by comparison. I think it all looks fabulous , could you hold the next one here? Spread the sock-love? Please can I send the hugs anyway x
I’ve got my reservation and can hardly wait. Congratulations Tina & Steph you are doing a great job!
Over 11,000 ?? WOW!
I’ve signed up to the list, and I’m definitely coming, but I haven’t received a single email.
Help me!
Eugenia,
I haven’t received any email either but I do have a hotel and airfare..so hopefully the emails are coming along soon..
Dittos on not receiving an email. However, I have been keeping an eye on the website and found class information over the weekend. Hotel reservation is already made for the place across the street. Can’t wait finalize my class selection in may!
Sadly, I missed sock camp this year due to teaching obligations…and life.
But Sock Summit is a different matter…I’ll be there!!!!
Great job on the webiste.
Absolutely fabulous!
Any plans to match people up who want to share a room?
Thank you Tina, and everybody else. The website looks fabulous.
The site is GLORIOUS!!! And, I have a confession, I knew about it Saturday night/Sunday morning at 3am. Yes, I was up… yes, I have OCD…. yes, I was confirming that Judith MacKenzie McCuin was teaching there (because I was talking to her the next day at my spinning guild, Spindles & Flyers). Thank you for being there for me.
Sadly, I couldn’t make it to Sock Camp (this week), BUT if I have to take on a 3rd job, I’m coming to Sock Summit, BY GOLLY! You and your band of merry Socksters have made irresistible. BRAVA!!!
So many excellent classes and so many wonderful teachers! I don’t know how I will decide but I’ve started making a list and when days and times come out, then I will have to really become the Decider!
Website looks great! If you sent out the emails on Monday, I got mine today, in the pm. So there may be an issue there. Just a heads up for you.
Wow – the website is amazing. I can hardly wait. I’m already booking flights, hotels, etc. Thank you so much for setting this up. : )
