Order Update

You know that feeling where the proverbial #&$* is hitting the fan and just won’t stop? You fully expect to look out the window see pigs flying or a parade baton-twirling baboons dancing down the drive? You feel like you’re coping pretty well, but just when you jump one hurdle, another comes your way? So… onward ho to broad jump over the new puddle of trouble. Challenges. Mostly, I see these as wonderful challenges.

Every once in awhile there are periods where it hits so hard and fast that you barely have time to catch your breathe before the next one hits. Well, my dearest knitters, that is where we are today.

So this is a note to let you know we are working very hard and fast in processing your orders as quickly as we can. There have over 500 hundred orders just for hankies. Add in all the yarn that goes with that, well… it’s crazy town here. There are hankies everywhere. This is all to say, getting out orders is taking a longer than usual.

Our latest challenge is being hit by the current plague. (Feel better, Rosebud.) Please know we are doing our very best!

Thank you for your patience.

P.S. To those customers that are new to us: In order to offer so much colour and fiber choice, we dye/paint by hand to order. Usually this system serves us all well. It is when we are inundated that things get bogged down a bit. Which is where we are now: bogged.

  2. I think Stephanie owes you big for this one!  I already had a silk hankie from before that I had never done anything with, so I’m playing with that while I wait to order some more (although, the one I have is old, it’s in the other form from when you first offered it

Don’t forget to breathe. And maybe tell Stephanie she has to come out and help you dye all those hankies! smile

Well, I guess it’s not as if I’m going to run out of projects OR mittens if I have to wait longer than usual for my beauteous Chawton Cottage hankies. I must admit I’ve been haunting the site waiting to see “processing” turn to “shipped”. I think I check once per hour-I’m not anxious at all. Just ignore me. I will survive. I hope you and the whole team will as well. Get healthy!

    Cheers and red wine, Hazel.

Its kind of one of those situations where you don’t know to thank Stephanie or do her some physical harm.

Nobody will die waiting for thier order in the mail so don’t don’t make yourself sick by working too much.

I’m sure all 500 of us have other projects to keep us busy.

Oh dear! I hope everyone feels better soon and doesn’t let the stress make it worse! I didn’t get an order in before you were inundated and now I’m waiting until you have a bit of a clear path before sending my order – so I envy all those intrepid souls who ordered before the button was taken down! The good part is that I will get to see everyone’s colours and how they are working their silk hankies before giving it a go myself. smile As Hazel says – it’s not like I don’t have several years of Blue Moon orders to keep me busy in the meantime! lol

    sending hugs and healing vibes!

Never worry, never fear Blue Moon will come through, right now a bit slower.

I can understand the Whatever Cold Thing has hit our house. It took 2 wks.

    for My husband to recover.

    I have plenty to knit.

Take care, all.  And just think of the unscheduled christmas-sort-of-feeling each recipient is getting the the Blue Moon package COMES!

    Wishing best health to all,

  9. Aw, big virtual hugs to Rosie & the rest of you Barnies!  The last bout of pestilence that hit my household hit my older monkey rather hard.

I’m looking forward to seeing Cockeye & EttaMae this Friday at Stitches or maybe Thursday if Leslie has her way. wink

  10. Have a blast at madrona! Don’t worry about the orders while you’re there, it won’t make then get dyed! And thankfully nobody dies if they don’t get their order. Whew!

Just enjoy Madrona and don’t worry about the barn. Deb and Becky and Paula will mind the store until Rosie can join them again. Hopefully Steph’s plague is the same one everyone there has already passed around so you can be extra productive after Madrona is over. Pass around the Day-Quil to everyone who can take it and just keep on keepin’ on in the way you do what you do. Big hugs and healthy vibes. Alice

P.S. Did the care package arrive yet?

I knew if I didn’t order the hankies right away it would be crazyville.  I can be patient and wait a few more weeks before placing my order.  It will be winter in these parts for awhile.

Hooray!  Just got a confirmation of shipment notice!  My lovely Fire on the Mountain hankies are on their way – and it is still snowing in western Montana.  I will have lots if time to wear them yet this year.  We have had heavy snow in early June in years past.

doesn’t happen often, but the ice scraper stays in the car year round.
