Barn sale prep
Because a picture is worth a thousand words, and there is no way at this point in this day that I even have 100 to string together, here’s a photo representation of our sale prep week.
It’s been a serious amount of work and the same amount of fun!
Thank you Debra, Deb, Tammy, Paula, Sophie, Charlotte, Becky, Rabia, Heather and Rosie! You rock this whole yarn thing!
Everything arrives from storage ready to be sorted and put in it’s place. Yarn does have tendency to get unruly.
I went in search of supplies escaped into the loft with camera in hand. It’s a great view isn’t it?
Paula caught me. Hey Paula!
Bins filled with sock yarn. We’re pretty excited about the bin diving prospects.
I ended the day on Thursday with a little gardening for the soul with my fowl friends. As you can see they are extremely helpful.
Tomorrow at 7:57 am I am the mother of a stunning 20 year old. Happy Birthday Rabia!!
ps: We’re missing pictures of Rabia, Tammy and Becky because they’re elusive with sneaky photo avoiding skills. I’ll get them this weekend!

The pictures are so enticing. I’m so bummed I don’t live near you. It’s probably a good thing, especially for my bank account. I know your barn sale will be over the top.
Smiles,
Cheryl
P.S. Happy Birthday Rabia.
Oooh, I want to go bin diving! Is it wrong that I think about making a coast-to-coast trip just to see it in person? But how much yarn could I afford after the airfare…
Oh I so wish I could be there. Socks That Rock is my favorite yarn, I am a hopelessly addicted. I actually considered traveling there just for the barn sale, but I can’t afford to do that and still buy yarn 🙁
Sure wish I lived closer. I hope everyone that does get to go, has a blast and buys lots and lots of yarn

Tina and company,
As one of the McKnitter’s Josie brought today, I have to say this was a fabulous event. So many beautiful yarns to tempt and entice, it was overwhelming. And then to have the chance to choose blank skeins of fabulous yarn stock and play with dyes; to watch the magic of color and the process from my own hands and with you and your staff’s helpful, friendly and good humored mentoring made for a most memorable day. That it was a beautiful, sunny day and that we picnicked around your fire pit while enjoying your company added to it. And of course the indigo vat and its alchemy has me “over the moon,” blue or otherwise. I am sure you are all tired after this extravaganza, but I hope you will offer the opportunity again in the future. You can count on quite a contingent from Yamhill County coming your way when you do. Thanks again for opening your workshop so graciously to all of us.

I hope a fabulous time was had by all!! The pictures may it look that way I just LOVE your friend on the wheelbarrow handle – looks quite content and comfy.
Thanks so much for having this sale. It was SO worth the drive up from Canby and I had so much fun =)
The sale was great. I loved dying my own yarn. What an experience. Thanks
Happy Birthday, Rabia!
christ it took me a moment to recover from the photo of the rooster on the wheelbarrow (mcphee?)
