Birthday Give-away #3

Hello all, today is going to be short and sweet. I might have over celebrated last night so… .

ZenJen07 is our winner from yesterday. Please contact for your prize. She will need to know that it was day #2 and the color or colors you would like us to dye your Featherlight in. Oh, also your address please.

Our Give-away today is a little bit of yarn crack, our Worthy Fingering.  What’s not to love about cashmere and silk? Not a damn thing!

If you’d like a chance to win a skein of Worthy Fingering in the color of your choice then in the comments section of this post share your answer to the following question.

If you had a super-hero-power what would that power be?  Would you like to leap tall buildings in a single bound, scale walls with your spidey powers, move things with you mind or knit in your sleep?

I’m having a hard time choosing what I would like mine to be. Hmm…maybe I should sleep on it.

Okay this older lady is off to take a birthday nap.

I’d love to have super speed power! It would make farm chores go so quickly…and no more second sock/sleeve syndrome!!

I’d choose the ability to teleport – my kids are on opposite sides of the country – sure would be nice to just blink my eyes and be wherever I wanted to be in an instant!

The ability to be in two places at once! (At least, that is the one I would choose today:)

  4. k1teach2 #

Oh, this is a fun one! I’d have the ability to communicate in any language, with people and animals!

  5. mimifan #

I would be able to teleport myself to places without all the traveling.

Me, three! Teleportation. Pop up to the barn for lunch (miss you all!). Pop down to see the grands. Heck, pop over to London for the weekend. Moreover, I want it to be transferable, so Paula can pop in to work when I’m not teleporting. 🙂
(And please, redraw so that someone else wins if you happen to pick this entry out of the jar!)

Ooooh, can time travel be my superpower? Or do I only get to do that if I have a cool blue box? Could I maybe get some sort of sweet time-travel jewelry?

Failing that, super speed. Because I could really use the ability to get a bit more done.

  8. Superpower: The ability to slow everyone and everything around me down to a nice humane pace.

I would love to be able to fly – I can imagine soaring over the city and countryside. It would also be cool to be able to read minds…

    Happy birthday!

I would love to be able to knit things almost as fast as I can decide the project and the yarn I want to use. It seems my speed never keeps up with all the things I want to knit. I hope you enjoyed your celebrating.

Oh my. Superpowers would be fun in some respects and terrifying in others. My choice would be to be telekinesis. How awesome that would be!

Hope your celebrations are continuing unabated Tina!

I meant that telekinesis would be a great superpower. Duh.

I’d be able to swim and knit at the same time a combo of my to favourite pastimes

I’d have the super powers of non stop energy and super speed combined, and could also stop time whenever I wanted– so that I would not have to sleep and could hand knit as fast as lightening, and get multiple garments completed in no time! What a dream come true! Thanks Tina for the invitation to dream. Hope your dreams come true!

My superpower would be to make myself invisible. I have a three year old. Enough said. 🙂

I think teleportation would be a great superpower. Although, super speed would also be a great one so I could get more done. Tough choice… Can I have both? 😉

I’m going to have to go with teleportation. As much as I love to knit while I travel, I would rather get places faster and then knit with friends =)

I would love the ability to help people to be able to communicate in a way that what they actually think and feel can be heard when they are communicating directly with each other. I think so many instances of pain come from the inability to express ourselves in an effective way to get our thoughts and feelings heard, and that often the second person in the conversation is not able to really hear what is being said.
So that’s my super power request. Super Communicator.

I’d pick the ability to cure cancer; I’d only need to use it once, but it would be worth it. Failing that, ‘d just like to be able to knit faster.

    I’d like the ability to fly… Hmmm…teleportation.
    No….. read minds! Muahahahaha

I would love to be able to knit faster, so many amazing patterns, gorgeous yarnz, so little time in our short lives.

I’d like to always be able to say the right thing to people to encourage them to make the decisions/take the actions that allow them to be their best selves.

  24. bleuzee #

I would like to be able to travel through time.

My super hero power would be knitting while doing all the other things – work, dishes, laundry – all the while – knitting. And in my sleep would be good too, but alas the dogs would make yarn barf out of my project and I would wake up with pibble and me wrapped up in yarn.
