Birthday Give-away day #4

Amazing how many of us would like the power to transport.

I agree!

Our winner of the day is Scarlet Fever with her wish to be a Super Communicator!!! If you could please email Paula@bluemoonfiberarts.com and she will hook you up with your Worthy. If you could tell her that you are the winner for day #3 and include your address!

********

Today’s sharing question is:  If you could share a meal with anyone present or historical (not living) who would that be and why.

Today’s sharing question will be the last simple easy peasy one.

Today’s Give-away is 2 skeins of our Cloud 9 dyed in any Blue Moon colorway you would like.

There are so many … but let’s go with Marie Curie. Scientist in both physics and chemisty; and the first woman to win a Nobel prize. How interesting it would be to spend time over dinner with her!

My dad. He passed away right before I got married. I’d want to have that father-daughter dance, tell him all about his granddaughter and ask for his parenting advice when it comes to the strong willed kiddo, hear his laugh and smell his cologne.

My sister. I haven’t shared a meal with her in over a year and I miss her!

So, it happens that May 31 is my birthday, so I can win if I want to, right????
I would give anything to share a meal with my son. He perished in an avalanche in Italy about a year and half ago. He had such a love of life and adventure, and there is so much I would like to learn from him. Enjoy your family like there is no tomorrow, because there may not be.

Hmm. I think I would like to have dinner with Elizabeth I. Her life seems so interesting. To be a woman (who appreciated knitted socks) and hold that kind of power in a changing world of religious divide and expansion. She probably would have a thing or two to say about the state of the world now. And I’ve never dined with royalty!

I would like to share a casual lunch with with Michelle Obama. I would be interested in her insights on juggling motherhood and a very demanding “job” as First Lady.

Mister Rodgers. He always seemed like the very best person to know and talk to.

I would love to cook for and share a meal with my Grandma.
I would love to have an adult conversation with her. Ask
about her history and her growing up.

I think I would like to have a meal with my aunt Betty job before she got sick. She was always so funny and full of knowledge.

I would love to visit with my grandmother Zora who passed before I was born. And I would sit down with EZ and ask some questions about knitting and her philosophy of life. Amazing women who would enrich my life and I would be blessed.

I would like to have a meal with my mom. There are so many things I wish I could have told her before she passed away.

It’s impossible for me to choose just one person! I think I would like to share a meal with President and Michelle Obama. Also, numerous relatives but especially my aunt who was the only relative of mine that I am aware of knowing how to knit. I didn’t learn to knit until many years after she passed away but I wish I could talk with her about knitting – and much more!

My Dad. He was an amazing man. He died when I was in my early 20s. Since then, I met and married my husband, had my daughter and have risen to the top of my profession. I try to live every day to its fullest and celebrate the small victories like he did. I want him to know that I got where I was trying to go and I’m happy. But mostly, I want him to call my oldest brother up and tell him to quit leaching off our mother. Yeah. I know. I should want something loftier. Siblings! Still trying to get each other in trouble with Dad despite being 46 and 50.

I would love to sit down to dinner with my dad again. I miss him every day since he passed away in 1999. He was my mentor, my friend, my talk buddy, and I would love to have had more time with him.

My paternal grandfather. He died when I was about 3 so didn’t get to know him. Would love to ask him why he left Virginia and changed his name, starting a new life in Idaho.

Abraham Lincoln, hands down. Been my favorite guy since I was 6 and always will be! It would be amazing, entertaining, fascinating, and humbling to spend even a few moments with the great man!
Tina, you know how to celebrate! 🙂

I’d like to have breakfast with Donald Trump on November 9, so I can explain why being a member of the he-man woman-haters club just lost him the election.

It would be my dad. He passed away last year at this time, unexpectedly, and I could go to the funeral(more than 8000 km). I miss him very much ;(

I would have a very hard time choosing, but I think I would pick my brother. He was killed when I was 13 & he was 29. I would love the chance to spend time with him as an adult and not a snarky teen, and to be able to show him how my life has turned out. I’d love to hug him for mom, y’know what… Scratch all that, if I actually had the opportunity to have dinner with my brother… I’d send my mom in my place!

I would like to share a meal with Willa Cather. I’d like to ask her some questions about writing, her summer writing place on the island off of Maine, and a little about her short stories.

My grandma (the blackberry one). I’d ask for all the family stories she told us over the years, when I was younger. I’d love to hear them again.

Am I too late to enter this one?? I just saw it! Just in case…non-famous category, my mom. I lost her a few years ago and I miss her every day. Famous person category? Lin-Manuel Miranda – I’m obsessed with Hamilton and he just seems like a really cool dude.

I would love to share a meal with Team Blue Moon. We hear about the fun and the laughter, the bad puns and practice jokes, the colour wonder. It would be nice to truly meet the genius behind the company that we all love so much.
