Camira KAL yarn update
First off I hope that where ever you on this disaster ridden planet of ours you are taking care!
We are still smokey here from the wildfires that have been raging on for most of the summer out here. we are up high so we’ve basically had smoky air since the beginning of July.
It’s a little worst right now because of the Eagle Creek fire in the Columbia Gorge. A lot of you have asked so I just wanted to let you know we are good. There were a few days we had to shut down early from the smoke and heat and some of our people had to go home because they have asthma but we are still here and doing what we do.
We are heart broken.
The Columbia Gorge is a magically beautiful part of the Pacific Northwest and most of us here have spent a lot of time hiking and enjoying all the wonder that is the Columbia Gorge. It’s one of those places that touches you so deeply that it leaves a mark. I know it has for me.
We will be working with and are donating to Friends of the Columbia Gorge.
If you are not already a member this is a good time to become a Friend of the Columbia Gorge. There are all kinds of ways we all can help and turn that heart break into positive loving action.
Okay Camira KAL shipping info:
I am so glad Carol and I had the foresight to give plenty of time for the dyeing and shipping of all this CAKE and Targhee for our KAL. We just shipped out on Friday hundreds of skeins. we shipped most of the International ones since they take quite a bit longer and the rest will go out on Tuesday of next week.
If you ordered yarn from us from around the 19th of August until now we are just a bit behind our usual schedule. Unless the powers that be throw another challenge our way we should be caught up by the end of this coming week.

As you can see I did not get the new colorways up as promised but will for sure next week.We have SOCKtober coming our way next week. How is it that time already I do not know but it is. I have a lot more to tell you but this is getting awfully long and I need to go dye some CAKE!
I think we all can agree that life is weird right now. All kinds of natural disasters from hurricanes to wildfires and hell, why not throw an earthquake in just for shits and giggles. The tragedy that all of these events is leaving in their wake is staggering…. heartbreaking and mind boggling.
Anyone else have the feeling that mother nature is seriously pissed off. I feel like she might be trying to get rid of us. I think we might need to step up our game and show her that we are worthy of living on this planet.
I am a very firm believer that who you are and what you put out into the world is what you get back. I have experienced this time and time again for myself and witnessed it in the ones I love and the world at large. When we feel negative and angry and we put that energy out into the world often it is exactly what we get back in some form or another. And if you think about it fair enough. We should get back our own stuff. After all it is ours we should be the ones to deal with it.
There’s a maelstrom of intolerance, fear and hatred in our world right now. In my experience the only way to stand up to these negative forces is with a positive force ~ love. Always come from love. Love is strong. Love breeds tolerance and compassion. Love spreads. Love is love and love wins!! Every little bit of light and love helps no matter how small it may seem.
