Love is…

PURPLE!!

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner which means we have Love on our minds and hopefully in our hearts!

Since our Blue Moon color filled hearts are kind of full to brimming with the love (obsession, let’s be real) of all that is Purple specifically Ultra Violet ~Purples.

I posted our first round of  purple goodness to come from my Ultra violet experiments a few weeks ago and I will say that Harold’s Purple Crayon is by far the most popular with Enchantress running a close second!

But wait….there’s more!!

The first five are the new ones as of today.  So very much purple.

As a colorist and dyer I pretty much love all the hues since they are basically the tools of my trade. As a person choosing colors to wear and surround myself with I can say that purple does not usually play into my color scheme of life. Unless it is deep and dark, like our Smoke on the Water. That said, some of these new violets and purples just make me so very happy! I would knit with all of them just for the joy of having those colors running through my fingers and building stitch by stitch onmy needles into fabric. Elderberry Cordial is most definitely something I would wear comfortably.

Violet and Purple are super popular colors. Violet is part of the visible light spectrum of color and purple comes from mixing blues and reds. Violet has the highest vibration in the visible spectrum.

As far as creating color goes violet and purple are pretty interchangeable with a similar essence that is powerful, mystical and also peaceful, quite trio. Purple inspires creativity and deep thought which I am pretty sure is what appeals to me about it. Maybe I need to knit myself a purple dye hat. or dye my apron purple. Hmm… .

Okay some newsie bits.

Sock Club has shipped and pdf’s are up!

School of Yarn shipped yesterday!! We were waiting on the patches which we were assured would be here by the 7th which was later than promised and they did not show so we shipped. I am sorry! The patches will be in the next shipment. PDF email also has been sent!

We are working on all the orders and doing our very best to get them out! We do appreciate your patience. We had a full team of dyers for 4 out of the 5 days this week and I actually do not remember that last time that happened.

If you are going to be at Madrona next weekend stop by The Fiber Gallery’s booth to see the Blue Moon yarns and samples they have.

Like Emma Welford’s new pattern Polyhedra which will be released right in time for Madrona and Stitches West!
