Bye Bye April ….

Happy Saturday!! I was so glad to see this weekend. It was a full and seriously productive week and I am a wee bit tired!

Ron and Theresa have all the yarn we dyed for Maryland Sheep and Wool and will be heading that way on Monday!

We’ve sent some serious color and fiber goodness for you! All of our new colors in Socks that Rock Medium-weight and our new and exciting new base Soft Rock!! Soft Rock is a 2 ply light fingering weight using the same base that we make our Sock that Rock yarns out of. We wanted a lighter yarn with same STR fiber goodness for our shawls, cowls, hats, wraps and such. It has that elasticity that we love in our Socks that Rock with a lighter hand! I’m in love. This is our first batch, so… it is not huge. Because of this  we have a limited number of skeins so we’ve chosen carefully how we are introducing it to the knit world! Since Maryland Sheep and Wool was one of the first places we introduced Socks that Rock I thought what better place have our Soft Rock make it’s entry!

Our Maryland Rainbow Sheep colorway!! Be sure to get to the Buffalo Wool Co booth early to get one of these lovelies! We also made some fun colorways celebrating our new partnership with Ron and Theresa so look for those! Even Cowgirls get the Blues and Buffalo Blue and then of course the dyeing we did on 2 of their lovely yarns, Tracks and Prairie celebrating two strong women in history. New colors… and a few Fadients!

New colors are up!!!

And…not even all of them are yet.  I’ve got a few more that we will add in the next few weeks here and there.  I’m in one of those super inspired and creative places where it’s just pouring our of me. I have a few series I am working on, a collaboration with a fabric designer, special colors for special events and a few new techniques I am playing with.  I am having a blast!!

Okay so here are the new ones. They are mostly speckled or watercolor droplet type colorways. I am pretty smitten with a few of these but the ones that are making me so happy I can barely contain myself are additions to the Heckley Speckley theme!! I know!!!!!!!! So exciting.

I love Heckley Speckley as deep and obsessively as I do Pond Scum. It does tend towards the scummier side of color which is my happy place. So I decided to play more in this speckley scummy end of color. Also I get so very many requests for fades/gradients using my beloved scummy friend I decided what the heckley (lol)  I’ll just make one. So I did!!

From the dark end to the lighter end we have:  Smoke on the Water ~ Scumberry Pie ~ Heckle & Jeckle Heckley Speckley and Heckle the Jekyll!

And I could not love it more!!! Seriously possessed! I want to knit all the faded patterns out there in this one. What I think I will do though is knit Joji’s new KAL Fading Point. It’s big which means I can wrap myself up all cozy in Heckley Speckley scummy goodness.

I have also put together a few more fade groupings and am working a couple more. If you you have any fade withes let me know. We are calling them FADIENTS!

You can order these groupings in any base you want for whatever fading you are planning on knitting by colorway. We are planning at some point in the near future to offer them as actual Fadient Kits but are still working on the specifics and the tech end for the website.
