I hope everyone has fun today! We sent lots and lots of yarn to Toni @ The Fold, so there should be plenty. ( I know I always think this and it is almost never true).
I have not been to MDSW so do not have pics of Toni’s booth but do have a few from SS09 . Here is Toni in all her glory.
Have fun everyone and Happy May Day.

I just can’t tell you how much I hate it when we have edited and edited and hey edited a pattern again and still there is an error. How can 2 editors, a designer, a test knitter and me miss something, well it happens and we did. So my knitterly friends here is the errata for the Traveling Sweater.
SORRY!! oh and DANG IT!
TRAVELING SWEATER ERRATA
Page 5: Begin short-row shaping: Short Row 1 (RS): Slip 1, work in established rib to last 9 sts, w&t. Short Row 2 (WS): PM, work in established rib to end, turn. Short Row 3: Slip 1, work in established rib to 10 sts before marker, w&t.
Work short rows 2-3 a total of nine times, then work short row 2 once more (10 markers have been placed).

Session 1 is over and we have spent almost a whole day recovering “napping” and are ready for round 2 of the Camp that is Cattywampus. To be completely honest I am just the weeist bit afraid. This session is filled to the brim with long standing sock club members and returning campers. They are lovely people every one of them. They are fun, so much fun but they also are experienced and they are primed. I could tell from the group we saw at dinner last night. They have brought their A game and they are ready to rumble. So I am thinking that after I finish this post that Steph and I might need another nap or maybe a big dose of vitamins or maybe an coffee IV hook up. I vote for the latter.
Here are some moments from Session 1. Sorry about the lack of details more will come after Session 2 is over.
Set-up for Camp is always fun we are all excited and a little giddy ( there’s that healthy does of fear again) and well we just have fun together.
I wish I had a picture of Steph and I filling the Camp goody bags. We’re so organized with stations and the best way (really we have thought this through) to meet our objective in the best time frame while having maybe a little bit of fun. We even have a soundtrack. Great fun, that is until you hear “oh shite I forgot the stitch markers” and then we’re on the do over train. chugga...chugga.
We were lucky enough to have Stephen ( hizKNITS) as one of our crack camp counselors this session.
Here are the lovely and helpful team Steph and I are lucky enough to have with us. Like sooo lucky!! I often wonder how we got so lucky but then I figure why question just be thankful and enjoy. Thank you Debbi, Debra and Stephen. Oops almost forgot Hazel.
My dear partner in crime had the opportunity to use her mad baby whisperer skills. Here she is with Cece’s darling girl Maggie. They kind of had a thing going, Maggie and Steph. There is so much I love about Camp. I love that we are all not only knitters here but sock knitters. I love it that no one looks at us funny when we flash our socks to each other or set up elaborate sock photo shoots.
Three little sockies all in a row. Janel, Steph and Cat heel to heel, toe to toe and heel to toe.
I love the fun and games and all the campy stuff. i love the learning and sharing. I love seeing knitters everywhere I turn. But I think that my favourite part of Camp is the community building. Bearing witness to friendships being formed, intimate moments shared, working together as a team… all of it. Session one was filled with mostly new campers who did not know each other when they arrived and were friends when they left. For me that is the best part of camp.
