A little Campy or

Sock Camp is not for sissies.

image

You really need to have your wits about you because this is just one of the wicked crazy things they grow here.

image

We visitied Joe’s Crab Shack where we made crab (project) bags with Cockeye the sockateer one of the funnest girls I know. We got to pound grommets and twist yarn on a spindle. Mad skillz needed for this one.

and… even though I said the homework was not optional some still have not done theirs.

image

Nope. Don’t think so McPhee.

image

Really Cat, I swear. See…?

Nope, just not going to work. I think you might be smoking your own dope here.

image

OH….

image

Of course this is the perfect way to do this. It is luminescent in it’s brilliance.

image

and we have lift off.

image

Ready. Set. Knit me some Nupes.

image

the clock is running…will these super fast slightly competitive knitters be done in time??

image

Will they meet their deadline?  Will we need to call for assistance.

Stay tuned to this station for more in the adventures of Circy McCircison and Lever Lady.

  3. I LOVE it when the Universe puts Cat and Steph in the same place at the same time.

(Explains the earthquake earlier this week, too.)

I would so love to be there!!!!  Saw Port Ludlow last September on a camping trip – great place.

Unfortunately those of us that are megawatt counters (as opposed to bean counters) must stay by our desks at quarter end 🙁

This is soooo much fun and you know you really have to be there or have the video. Cat claims to have been totally kicking Steph’s arse but I’m inclined to think it may have had to do with the needles needed for the project. What wonderful friends these ladies are! We were laughing almost too hard to work on our crab shack bags.

Having a fantastic time and very glad I’m here.

Based on the blogs I’ve been reading, sounds like sock camp was another fun-filled year. I so missed being there. Cece and I consoled each other via Ravelry. I’m so very sorry I missed the antics this year. But, I have my plane tickets and hotel reservation for Sock Summit, and I WILL be there. If it’s like Stephanie wrote “sock camp on steroids” I know I will have a great time!

    Hi Tina!

It looks like sock camp was wonderful. And I am in envy of those that were lucky enough to take a dyeing class with you. I’m hearing and seeing all these incredible things about Rare Gems offered at the events that I am sadly unable to come to. You see, I am dirt poor. And just got a 20% paycut. Sad but true. My STR addiction is not helping things… anyway, is there any chance you guys will ever offer them on the website?

Also, I was wondering if Blue Moon has ever considered offering a discount for customers – you know the kind of thing – 20% off if you buy over $60 or whatever the case may be? I LOVE your yarn but in these times I just struggle to afford it. Just a suggestion, hope I haven’t offended.

    Thanks!

Of all the fun that happened and the great people I met I can boil it down to two words.  Thank you!  I’m so profoundly grateful to you for creating the magical knitting happy place.  I could run on and on but I just keep coming back to thank you, thank you, thank you!
