We had our Blue Moon Holiday party and I used it as the opportunity to move furniture a bit. I just cannot for the life of me resist the chance to move a chair or two. And surprise, surprise look what we found under a cushion.
Shocking eh?
So we get the chair exactly where I want it. It only took three tries no matter what Debra tells you. And then everyone comes in from the barn and other points around PDX with TONS of food. Our parties are really food heavy. We all live off the leftovers for days.
Seriously food on every surface in my very petite kitchen.
This potluck was potato heavy and Becky’s potato salad Won hands down. Yes, potato salad at a Christmas party in the dead of winter. Whats wrong with that? We had mash potatoes too. No judging.
Sitting and chatting and wondering what that really big box under the tree is. White elephant exchange with $5.00 top. Hmmm… And yes, that is an umbrella in my living room. It rains a lot here.
Aren’t they lovely? I love them all so much and am so blessed by each and every one of them. sniff
Debbi was the lucky recipient of my gift. I think it was a very appropriate match. See it?
ps The tree was resting and is now fully decorated.
Aww, there’s my JoAnn. *sniffle*

Some of my favorite people were hanging out at that party!! Now that’s the way to celebrate the holidays!!! Wishing you (again!) a warm, woolly holidays!!!

With Christmas round the corner, there are lots of Christmas parties happening around. I am eagerly waiting for these parties!

Love that oh-so-lovely red gift Cockeyed got.
Thank goodness that tree was decorated. I was beginning to think that poor little puppy ornament was going to be lonely.

I have been to several Christmas parties but have not been allowed to knit at one of them. Your party is obviously superior in many ways.

oh, man, you HAD to mention potato salad! i love that stuff and have been squelching a hankering for it for weeks. now i have to make some!

Looks like you had a wonderful afternoon! The gift for cockeyed? I know that red Namaste bag is way over the $5 limit, so I’m going to guess the hammer and hope it shows up at camp with lots of great stories!

Speaking of fun at Christmas parties, I put the pickle fork out this year (the one from camp that was in our goodie bag) and people were enthralled with it. “What’s this” “Where did you get it” “It’s a pickle WHAT?” I will have to see if my husband has the video footage of some of our confused guests trying to figure out what it was. Great conversation starter.

P.S. where do you find things like the “uh-oh” at the top of the page and the single ornament on the tree? The uh-on cracks me up and I’d love to get one for Craig. Seems he always has vampires attacking his veins. (Lab draws back to monthly right now.) More hugs to share around, Alice
