An Irish blessing for this St Patrick’s Day
An áit a bhuil do chroí is ann a thabharfas do chosa thú.
Your feet will bring you to where your heart is.

and a tune

HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY!!

How about we celebrate by paying homage to our favourite shades of green. I’ll go first. I love all greens every single one, have not met a green I do not like. That said
my absolute green love is of the mossy, scummy kind. Like this…

The most amazing green I saw in the wild was a small meadow of huge clovers.  The sunlight was being filtered through the fir and pine trees, giving the clovers an intense green cast like Crayola’s sea green.  Magical.

My favorite green was the rich, vibrant green of the untamed portions of Oahu (Hawaii).  Just being able to stand on a hilltop and look down into a valley of pure green heaven was absolutely wonderful.  smile

I have two favorites:  The evergreen of the Blue Spruce tree and the icy, pale of a partially eaten and sucked out lime popsicle.  (ewww...too vivid a picture??)

The wonderful thing about all these greens, is that none of the colors we call green are one color. This is why handpainting is so wonderful. Tina gets to include all varieties of ‘green’ in her green skeins. Sometimes part of what we identify as ‘green’ is blue, brown, red, yellow, purple - the whole spectrum. I love it.
