MISSing

One depraved dyer.

Really, she is usually here running Blue Moon, dreaming up new colorways, helping out in the barn where she is needed, making up contests for the sock club, posting pictures of camp, keeping us in the barn entertained and loved.

We cannot find her. We have looked everywhere we know to look, and still no tina. We miss her and are little concerned. So, we decided to enlist your help.

If you see our beloved dyer please leave us a comment here as to her whereabouts. We do not recommend that you approach her as she has been a bit skittish as of late.

And yes we already checked the beach.

Thanks For Your Help!!!!!

  1. NOooooooooo!  My Dear Tina cannot be missing!  I only heard from her just yesterday and she seemed fine!  I would love it if I could just walk out and find her, but I know she can’t be out here in the SF Bay area!  Keep us posted-she can not be gone for long!!!

  2. PS-Debra and Becky-are you sure Anneli didn’t go and move Tina’s office out somewhere she thought more fitting?  And BTW, did the rust get put back?

Okay, I feel like I should be labeled depraved because my first thought is not of finding Tina but:  “Ooooh, I hope Tina uses this photo as inspiration and dyes us some new yarn based on the colors of her outfit, the ocean, the sky and her hair!”

Probably took a rocket ship to go find the tinsel to put in her own yarn! grin

  5. i think it’s really funny that the first time i ever see tina’s face is in her missing person’s photo . . . i SO didn’t know what she looked like til now. that said, i do know exactly where she was at around 5:30 last night—on the other end of the telephone!

Once, while traveling to Sarion-B I noticed a rift in the time continueum.  It could be missed if you don’t know what it is you are looking for.  I believe that is the place where we need to start looking for our beloved Depraved Dyer.  There are no Klingons or Romulans, Cylons, but they do have the wicked Gorse…no one knows there true home planet, but if she’s there they will contact us as their aim, much like pirates is in ransom, Yarn Ransom that is.  They want the best of each knitters stash.  So that being said, we need to find her quickly.  I’m off to begin the search, only the brave should attempt this task!

  7. Dear all,

Have you looked under the pile of Sock Summit paperwork?

What about the stack of “return this call” message notes?

Have you checked for someone curled up in a fetal position, under the bundling table?

Who (else) s in Henry-the-bunny’s cage?

If all else fails, perhaps the scent of brownies might lure her into daylight…?

Send up a bat-signal, please, if you organize a search party!

I think JustJen may be close but I think she’s been knitnapped by the Sock Summit Lawyers and Insurance Underwriters coalition. There’s no telling what dasterly yarns they may be forcing her to dye for them.

Of course it could just be that it’s the day after Tax Day and she needed an escape so went shopping. NOT.

And Deb had a good reaction. Love the photo of Tina but she needs to be smiling. She looks so serious which may be a usual look but so not at camp.

Which makes me think – Have you checked Port Ludlow?

Then again the post did have her name at the bottom so maybe YOU all have knitnapped her and are keeping her all to yourselves so she can’t steal away to the beach or be sucked down the well that is Sock Summit.

  9. I’m with Marcy…check the local tinsel factory! I think she’s doing research!!

I bet if you provide chocolate brownies, she’ll come back home!

  10. I think Stephanie squirrel-napped Tina.  She did say Tina went too far with that tinselly poem.

Looks out window for bat signal.  No bat signal, guess I will hafta stay at work for the day.  It seems like a heckuva lot more fun to search for Tina than it does to work.  (peeks out window again, darn!)

Have you found her yet? Should I start searching in the Heartland? Maybe she decided to visit Cat? Have you asked her Hubby where she might be hiding? They often know where their SO can be found. Hugs all, Alice

  13. I think Tina might be found sitting in the lovely sunshine atop the staircase at the Convention Center. She is mentally filling the Dragon Boat with hanks of STR and Twisted, and imagining strands of Silk Loops and Geisha winding down the Foucalt Pendulum; and dreaming up the most amazing colorways.

The Convention Center must be, of course, properly decorated.

  14. P.S. Or maybe she’s getting her rose colored glasses repaired while being fitted for the rose colored contacts?

look up.  Waaaaay up.  See that on the ceiling ?????  I’ll bet it’s a Tina. Get a ladder and scraper down.  Also….. good luck with her when you get her down.  Just saying.

Oh and is there a prize??????  Just asking.
