SALE Save the Date!

Yes, even though I hemmed and hawed and could not commit and believe at some point even said no.
Blue Moon will in fact be having tis annual de-stashing sale on Saturday December 6th all day staring at 10:00 and going all day. This will take place again at the Scappoose Creek Inn
This is a lovely place and they have rooms for out of towners and are giving a discount.  check them out here: http://www.scappoosecreekinn.com
Since the actual selling yarn part is usually done in a few wickedly crazy hours, we are also having an Xtreme Monkey Make-over party.
This will include making monkeys and or decorating them in lieu of a most creative monkey contest.  All of the specific details to these monkeyish shenanigans will be posted soon.
The contest will be web-wide and we are also hoping to include a small web based discount along with this sale so everyone feels included.
We will put an official notice on the website but I thought I should start putting it out so we could all make plans.

Huzzah! I’ll camp out at the library that day so I can access the web at a reasonable speed and enjoy the party from Iowa. No way I can swing another trip to the PNW this year especially if I want to go to camp. Hugs to everyone and Happy Knitting, Alice

Resistance is futile, a few wise women once told me (can I get that on a t-shirt please?!).  Although my heart is sad, I think my budget is glad that I will be in New Orleans for work that weekend!  I’m thinking a Mardi Gras monkey though....and maybe, just maybe, Christy will be tempted by the words...SALE and head on out to you!

And maybe come December I can use the “Since I didn’t go to the barn sale....” as a reason to place a wee little blue moon order!!!!

You girls are going to have an awesome time!!

I must go and have a look at those monkeys.  I have been tempted so many times but with the new holiday colours I can’t fight it anymore.

I think DH is glad we don’t live closer to Scapoose, but I do thank you for that online discount.

This’ll motivate me to finally knit my Monkey2 her own monkey.

I am so excited about an online discount.  Living in Fort Lauderdale, Florida has its perks (weather being one of them) but it does have its dark side (no blue moon yarn anywhere nearby) :-(

I will be there! And I bet the rest of the PDXKB are already hatching plans.

P.S. Do you really think it will last a couple of hours? Last year I think it was about 30 minutes. grin
