I am sitting here at the coast trying to write dyer’s notes and work on the final stuff for sock camp and then some of the vendor stuff and truly everything else for sock summit.,a few new sock pattern submissions and am designing a new sock yarn. So ...just to be clear that is sock yarns, sock patterns, sock club, sock camp, sock summit… . Hmmm!? I got really worried. I called Steph but she could not see where I was going with this. Do I have a problem that no one is telling me about? Should I be worried? Are you sure? You would tell me wouldn’t you?
Lol, sure honey, we’d tell you. Just as soon as you get the next sock club kit out. . .

I tend to go with the idea that it’s only a problem if it’s a problem for YOU.
For instance, if this dyeing and knitting and planning were, say, interfering with your livelihood. Somehow I don’t think that’s the case here.

In the wise words (song?) of Monty Python, “Socks, socks, socks, socks, socks, baked beads, socks, socks, socks and socks.”

As long as you are laughin and lovin life, I sees no problem with that.
(Besides, socks always fit. Even at the beach. Who likes trying on bathing suits!)

No way do you have a problem (says the woman who has about three pairs of socks OTN and is eagerly awaiting the next sock club shipment). Nope, no problem at all.

You are asking the choir if it’s OK to sing.
I don’t see a problem… (but your blog audience isn’t exactly unbiased....)

Admitting your problem is the first step to overcoming.....er, I mean EMBRACING it.

Problem, I see no problem (get out of my stash closet). Sox are not a problem. The problem is finding enough feet for the fantastic design and color combinations. THAT is the problem.

I thought I had the name of a good sockologist but I lost it at the heel turn. “Don’ worrie abudit” Also I could click “agree” on all of the above.

Nah. But if it’ll help, once I get these (3 pair of) socks designed, written and out of the way, I’ll design you the lovely blackberry baby jacket that’s in my brain. ; )

so is that like when people only really think about themselves from the neck up (only for you it is from the calf down?)

New sock yarn?
The only “problem” I see is the one that’s going to be in my wallet when that little bit of stash enhancing opportunity hits. But it will be a very happy problem!
If loving socks is wrong… who would ever want to be right?

Problem? What problem? Who says socks are a problem, or that using the word “sock” a few times in every sentence is a problem? None of us, that’s for sure.

If being obsessed with everything socks is wrong, well....I don’t want to be right!
Did you say design a new sock yarn?!!?!?!?

Coming from the girl who hasn’t worn store bought socks since she learned how to knit her own… I definitely see no problem!
posted by Jen Mar 12, 2009
I agree with Irishgirlieknits! If we admit you have a problem, then we have to admit WE have a problem. I don’t see that happening anytime soon. We’re the choir, but no one outside of the huge sock-knitting circle would understand.
Can’t wait to read your Dyers notes and see the new colors you are working on!

My only response if this is a problem is “can I come over and play?”

<gentle pats on your head>
Of course we’d tell you if this was a problem.
Really! Truly! I mean it!
(My captcha is “woman92”. Is that 92 knitting women? Or knitting women who are 92? or… what?)
