It is color rotation time. There are some colorways that need just a wee bit of a rest. Also, there are holiday and fall ones wreaking havoc in the barn trying to get attention. Oh, and new ones. Let’s not forget the new colorways, covering every single available surface in my home. I kid you not. In order to maintain some sense of decorum and keep my color children from fighting amongst themselves, on August 18th, we will be moving the color wheel towards Autumn and the coming holiday knitting season. I know, hard to believe isn’t it? At this time, we will also be raising prices a bit. We have not done this in three years, so it is definitely past due. Our costs have gone up both in yarn, dye, and well, just about everything. I will do my best to make it as painless as possible.
Here is a list of the colorways that are getting a short vacation. Hard Rock Hot Flash Amber Backstabber Dixie Chick Crazy Lace Agate Little Bunny FooFoo Lover’s Leap Lemongrass Ms. La Rock Mr. Green Jeans Mudslide Peaseblossom Titania Pebble beach Pixie Park Rain Forest Jasper Rhodonite Seastone Thistle Sherbet Highway 30 Lucy Love in Idleness Cockamamie
If you have colorway requests, you can put them here in the comments, and I will take them into consideration. I promise you will be happy with the new colors! Cross my heart and hope to dye.
I just had to write and comment that the names of the colors, as much as the vibrancy of them have made me into a new true fan! I am having great fun with the bubble scarf pattern, and I hope that although you are discontinuing that particular fiber, you will have something comparable to replace it? Thank you so much for all you do, because its inspiring

Lets have a wee bit of a group ((((hug))))) for the “sleeping” coloUrs, shall we??

Beautiful things hibernate in the fall and winter. And that leaves room for other beautiful things that are seldom seen in spring and summer. A group hug, and then let’s tuck them in safe and cozy and tell them good night.
And… er… maybe place a wee order…

I love how you rotate colors - and how you give us plenty of notice! Much appreciated! I know that it’s pretty similar to other colors that are now up but I’ve wanted to buy Prove It All Night for awhile now...it’s quite possibly the first skein of your yarn I fell in love with after seeing it. However, I’ve never been able to get it! Thanks!

Thanks for letting us know! I just finished placing an order. Weird...all of my color choices begin with “L!”

Pucks mischief! (please!) It seems you just discontinued it, but I never got a chance to buy some. I better go buy some Highway 30, it’s my favorite!

Can I still keep Backstabber in my manuscript? Or should I knit a do-over in a different color?
I do tend to go for blues on the red side and reds and greens towards the blue side. But that’s just me.

I love fall colors! And holiday. I was remiss and forgot to get Gingerbread Dude the first time.
But I’m also looking forward to seeing the “Spirits” come out to play.

I’d love to see Moss Agate again! I don’t know what crazy force kwpt me from ordering it the last time it was on the site. Other than that, I second Sara’s list from above because I’ve never seen any of those colors! That doesn’t do my BMFA obsession any good.

Hello again Tina, Since you were talking about Holiday colors, how about Christmastime which would be largely green with small runs of red and gold and a touch of white. It would also be pretty to have some metallic gold or angelina in it too. I would also love Mardi Gras colors which would be lime green and purple with metallic gold in it. I just LOVE holiday colors. I would love to do a chevron scarf for Christmas in the greens and reds with flashes of glitter. I’m enough of a crow to love sparklies!. Ann in Dallas with the cat licking my paw.

All of the holiday colors are coming back with at least one new one. After all Gingerbread Dude needs a wee bit of company don’t you think?

Yea for the holiday colors! Also, I would love have a chance to knit something with Loch Ness. It looks amazing in the completed projects I"ve seen online. Thanks for advanced notice of the resting colors

Tina,
I have to second (or third) Azure Malachite. Tenth or twenty Puck’s Mischief. And I really want Emerald Isle or Emerald City. I just love those intense greens in those two. Oh, and County Clare. My Irish is coming out in me this fall!
Thanks and now I will just have to go put in an order.

I am excited about new colorway possibilities! It seems that under requests, people are asking for retired colorways - may I suggest a color combination I’d like to see? I’d love to see a deep chocolate brown and garnet combo - with the red being like really ripe strawberries, not an orangey red. I know that whatever you come up with will be gorgeous, though!!!
