Time for a change

If all goes according to plan.  Ouch typing that sentence gave me a spasm. We’re ignoring it.  Yes we are. Just because life keeps throwing curve balls your way doesn’t mean you come to expect them. Nope it just means you learn to duck maybe a little quicker.
Ok back to the plan. The plan is to have a colour change next week and to add new colours fresh out of the box I call a brain.  Its been interesting in the barn. I seem to be fluctuating between a deep dark brooding and maybe a little twisted tonal range and a bright in your face, “ yes, I am just all that” one.  Dye work is usually good therapy for me but this seems more like some sort of intensive where the two dominant emotional themes in my life at this time are working themselves out on yarn.  Hmmm… this could get ugly. Might need another apron and a new pair of gloves.
Anyway if you have any favorites you would like to see back please let us know.
We’ll do our best to make your colour dreams come true.
Time to go rustle teenage girls out of bed for school. An aprons so not going to cut it for this job. Maybe a shield?
Ok I’m a strong woman I can do this.

List of colours taking a little break to make room for the newbies and “others”.

Apple Valley Rd Backstabber Bejeweled
Citrine Cobalt Bloom Emerald Isle
Fairgrounds Crazylace Agate Foo Foo
Gail’s Autumn Joy Harlotty Ilanaaq
Mermaid Mr.Green Jeans Milestone
My Little Colour Brain Mystic Kelp Peacock
Rabia Sedona Siren Song
Spaun of Braun Spot Rock 1 Storytime
Thistle Lapis Peaseblossom

Tina,
When I got your twitter yesterday about going to the barn to dye some yarn with the colors that have been swarming in your head, I thought....."Oh man!!!  I could use a good yarn dying session right now!” I’ve been going through some stuff myself (seeing a therapist who is awesome!) and would love to dye yarn the colors of my emotions right now.....would be so therapeutic.  I’ll have to wait 34 more days to do that at the Silk Retreat!!  Can’t wait.

Twisted tonal just about covers the terrain in my brain right now, so I say BRING IT!

Dyeing your emotions - what glorious therapeutic expression.

Looking forward to seeing what’s in that capacious mind of yours!

Hi Tina,

I know you’re the color goddess, but I have a request. Could you do a semi-solid in an Oatmeal sort of color. I know totally boring, but I am sure I am not the only one who would like to do some color work with BMFA but there is now creamy oatmeal color to use as a background.

I know you can do anything. Think of it as a comfort color. All warm and stick to your ribs good solid color to add to the regular gang of semi-solids. I have ideas for this but can’t find anything on the site that comes close.

Thanx for listening.

Hugs

Love Kel’s oatmeal color concept… Could you call it “Oat Bran?” “Cholesterol Hero?” “Oat Couture?”
Okay, better stop now. Puns are better savored in small doses.

I would love some more Koi Koi in a S2S kit. Otherwise, I am into the shaded solids as of late. Regardless, I love it when you change up the colors!

Please bring back Kalish! My mother keeps trying to steal my Kalish socks. I’m afraid I might have to put them in a locked drawer if I can’t find more and that has become a huge challenge. Even Toni at The Fold can’t find any for me. Pretty please with beautiful yarn on top?

And I second the votes of Knitty Rocks & Olive Garden.
