The USPS site is back and functional. Well… you know what I mean. You can order and it will go through.

We will keep the sale going until tomorrow at noon PST for all of you whose shopping was thwarted.

ok, off to dye MASSIVE amounts of yarn.

I will post photos from the sale this weekend this evening. In the meantime visit cockeyed at goddessknitters and see the very cool pre-sale production pics.  Very cool.

love the hand

know what would be really cool? Grab bags. I love freaking random stuff. A grab bag of BMFA yarn would possibly give me a heart attack, and a whacking big Visa bill.

Tammy’s pics were awesome of the barn sale too! Felt like I was there...well, I didn’t have a bag of yarn next to me, but you know, almost the same!

So glad I don’t have to rush a second purchase this morning....I’ll order it tonight smile

I like the grab bag idea also but what if.... you do not like the colors or fibers or.... it goes on and on in my head.

I second the grab bag idea. And who cares about the color? *Grin* The colors, all the colors are smashing! Besides grab bags are like the ultimate surprise - its like a Christmas stocking when you were 5 - all the magic! And it would be a great way to get smaller quantities of yarn out the door in a hurry....just saying...if you need to make room. (Or you know have less product on hand for end of year/quarter inventory!)

PS - ravelry - its like the lunch room in grade school - you can pretty much trade for what you want. Maybe someone should come up with a Hostess themed colorway.....

(i’ll work on you...when you can breathe again!)

Tina, everyone knows that you might not absolutely love everything that’s in a grab bag. That’s part of what makes it so exciting and fun! You get really cool stuff, and some maybe not quite as cool stuff, and stuff that you might not have picked out for yourself but now have a chance to play with… It’s a GRAB BAG!

And if you really don’t like it, you can always give it to someone who does or trade it for something you do like. Because the world is a wonderful place and people like different stuff. And that’s why garage sales work, eh?

Grab bags.....now, when I first saw that I though, “Are you kidding???” But, the idea is growing on me, because I haven’t met a BMFA color that I don’t love, absolutely love!!! And I’m not a very experienced knitter, but I love knitting with it!!

Grab bags would be AWESOME!!!!!!!!  I kind of think of RSC as a series of grab bags, only with nicer touches—I don’t know what colors will be offered, but I willing sign up each year, and I like almost all of teh colorways. In fact, there have only been 2 colorways in the past 3 years of sock club that weren’t my cup of tea, and others that I wasn’t crazy about at first, but they grew on me so much they are now my favorite socks. So, bring on the grab bags!! Ravelry is a great place to swap if needed.
