Here are 3 of the new colourways going up on the website on Tuesday.  My brain is name cramped and they need to be appropriately titled.

So whatcha think?

All thoughts and ideas are welcome and then we’ll do a blue moon vote on Monday, and you’ll get to see who they are on Tuesday.

#1 Raspberry Fool - yummy dessert.
#2 Lilac’s Revenge.
#3 My name just has to be Hobie’s Flame and there is a story attached:

The last, oh, so reminds me of the colors of the sail atop a Hobie Cat (catamaran) sailboat.  The sail’s colors were, not surprisingly, called Flamer (Did you know that sailboats had colorways? - this was originally called Flamer, I think) I have so many amazing memories of watching those ‘cats flying hulls in the steady breeze that funneled through the valley onto the lake where my family spent every summer weekend.  The best wind was in in the hour before sunset, and it was pure magic to see those colors cast against the sky that held the same colors, slowly fading to a deep violet… When I was older I learned to sail those ‘cats - an amazing (and bruising) adventure.

Sorry for the long post, but it brought back some wonderful memories!

Oh wow! They are just beautiful, Tina! The first three names were sort of redundant: mine, mine and mine. However after some careful thought I came up with some better ones:
1. Leaky Snocone (Can’t you just see these colors melting over the ice?)
2. Plum Diddly (Rock On!)
3. Fingerpaint Sunrise (Stick one finger in each color like a kid and slide it across the paper!)

But after the naming process I still think they will be mine, mine and mine!

1.  Bumbleberry Pie—Yeah.  Not original.  (see above) But it fits!

2.  Dawn’s Early Light—from the 1st verse of our national anthem.  As soon as I saw this colourway, those words popped into my head.

3.  Red Sails in the Sunset—I know.  I know.  It dates me.  But that is the title of an old song that my parents loved...they played that record FOREVER!  Was so glad I sat on it!  LOL

Here are a few ideas so far....

For color #2, how about, “I Lilac It. I Really, Really Lilac It.”

For color#3, I have a couple of ideas.  Either, “Hot, Hot Heat,”
or my fav, “630 to 750 Nanometers.” The “630 To 750 Nanometers” because red’s visible by radiant energy with wavelengths of approximately 630 to 750 nanometers.  From Tina’s picture it looks like this skein has covered every possible red variation from 630 to 750 nanometers.  smile

1. Puppy Love for the bright pink colors and darks that can only be the emotional highs and lows of Puppy Loving.

2. Grandma’s Attic. The colors bring to mind the love and coziness of the blankets my grandmother would always crochet and give to her childrens’ families.

And then for #3, “Skeined Heat.”

You could just put them all in a bunch and call it “Comin’ Home with Lindsay”, because that’s what they’ll be doing on Tuesday. In reality I’m just about the *least* capable person to come up with good names so I’ll just say that they’re all terribly lovely and I absolutely can’t wait until Tuesday.
