we are golden

I thought you might like to see some of my inspiration for the next wave of colour creating here.  Notice I said some. I promise it is not all saffron jungles in my brain just predominantly so this week. It is very dreary here in the Pacific Northwest.

I am also having some fuschia thoughts and maybe some limey lemongrass ones and a few hazy grey-lavender ones with the springy green of growth thrown in for good measure.

I just thought maybe we all might need a bit of warmth and light.

So…

and… in the colour coded coping system this lovely golden box would be “save until time to savour”.

Lovely Tina!!  Such a bright spot in our dreary Sacramento weather as well.  At least it’s raining today…..breaks up the nasty gray foggy mess we’ve been having.  I may try to print this out and hang it in front of me.  Can’t wait to see what you create with these colors in mind.

I want to work with you someday.  Have any openings? grin

I like the sunset at the beach. That would make a spectacular skein of yarn.

When I was in high school (in North Dakota) our band came to Portland one summer to march in the Rose Parade. We were all excited because we were going to take a day to go out to the ocean. The initial plan was to get up real early so that we could watch the sun rise over the ocean. That plan was scrubbed when someone realized we were at the wrong edge of the country. Instead we did a sunset.

Not nature inspired but here goes…Remember Creamcicles?  Those pale orange-y ice creams on a stick?  They had ivory insides and subtly changed color as they melted.  I have a cat that color and she’s so pretty….creamsicle socks…..ahhh, yes.

Or sunset would be lovely, too.

Thanks Tina, I had a perfectly hateful evening and the colours of sunshine is just what I needed.  All will be welcome.  I am tired of snow, gray skies and ungrateful people..I am a regular Miss Crabbypants.  Guess I should get some before its gone.

The last night we were in Florida we stayed on the beach and watched the sunset.  My 2 sisters, myself and our husbands…all in a semi circle watching the sun go down.  You could almost hear the “click” as it went below the horizon.  Absolutely stunning and emotional.  The first time that we had all been together for Christmas and the first time in 35 years that my sisters and I were together for the holiday..since I was 17.  That feeling of a “filled up heart” is what your photo did for me tonight.  Thankyou, I am kind of lonely here at home.

Way more than anyone wanted to know I am sure, but thanks for listening.

  16. I’m feeling the same love for the same colors right now.  Only I’m decorating my house and finding that I’m choosing that palate for almost everything- and in stripes.

Can we see Space dust come back as a color for those of us not on the sock wagon until recently… I’M IN LOVE WITH THAT COLORWAY since I’ve seen pics of it on Ravelry, but I can’t find anyone to sell me some….  I’d love to see it back home on this site.

Who!!Hoo!!! I have yellow living room and dining room walls; I have 16 feet of yellow, kitchen counter top. I love sunset colours. Bring on the yellows, oranges, peaches. Your winter blahs sound like Sudbury’s dreary, wet, grey, November. Thank goodness we have snow to brighten things up. Now I have new colourways for which to wait, as well as my Rare Gems and my VERY FIRST sock kit. 2010 is putting me on an anticipation high. Cheers and red wine, Hazel.

I love all the golden shades, and especially that they include some oranges! I love orange with fuschias and purples that have been mentioned.  I’ve been hoping Citrine comes back, and sunset colors like others have mentioned!  I can’t wait to see what you come up with!  Will there be a lot of new colors this time around?

  23. Some time before, I did need to buy a house for my organization but I did not earn enough money and could not purchase anything. Thank heaven my father proposed to try to get the mortgage loans from trustworthy bank. Hence, I acted that and used to be happy with my consolidation loan.
