And the winner is…
Thank you to all of you who entered our contest. Thank you so much for all the votes. It was quite wonderful to watch the votes as they flew in. This was so much more successful and fun than either Steph or I could have possibly could have imagined and we have some pretty big imaginations.
Thank you and congratulations to lucky our number nine, Michelle, with her fabulous swashbuckling pirate sheep. You won Michelle!
We’ll be emailing you about your prize.
As I was scrolling through all of these beauties again this morning I kept thinking how everyone who entered should be proud. You did magnificent work! We know knitters are talented. We both see it every single day. Never in our wildest dreams did we expect such a spectacularly varied bunch of pirate knitting graphic wonder.
I am so moved and inspired by your entries that I’ve decided that all the finalists should get a skein of sock yarn, for appreciation. We’ll be emailing you for your addresses later this week.
Thank you all!

YEAH!! That’s the one I voted for. You are right Tina – a great bunch of knitterly graphic artists. Congratulations to all the entrants, a good job done. I look forward to getting my shirt at camp in a few weeks time.
Why are we not having a sock summit this year?
Congrats to Michelle and all those who enetered t-shirt designs! And yahoo for all you lucky ones who will get to wear the winning t-shirts!
Note to Barbara (commenter): Sock Summit has only ever happened twice, in 2009 and in 2011. Tina posted something in the past month here about how 2013 just didn’t work with the scheduling and such.
Congrats to Michelle! I have been so swamped with work that I missed voting – :(. Tina and Stephanie are absolutely correct. They are all quite amazing.
Hey I just want to say thank you to all of those who voted for my design. And a big round of applause for the other finalists to…you were tough competition.
Congratulations, Michelle! Yours is a wonderful design for a T-shirt. And a big thank you to everyone who voted for mine (#4)! It’s been such fun.
Congratulations Michelle!! There were several designs that I would have been tickled to have on my camp shirt if mine (#10) didn’t win. But my favorite was yours – so glad you won
Tina – you are one of the sweetest gals I know. Just the competition was enough to get me crazy excited about camp. It was fun to be a part of it
Yeah, nice post.
I had such a hard time voting, they were all wonderful! Tina you are a very loving and giving person and what could be better for all the finalists but sock yarn!! Blessings! Sooooo looking forward to seeing you at camp!!
The designs were wonderful, but I’m so glad Michelle’s won. It’s a perfect design for a tee shirt. I want the sheepy pirate with his eye patch, his knitting needle between his teeth, and his finished sock. Why do I keep saying “his”. The sheep might be a ewe. You are all going to have so much fun at sock camp. I wish Renee Fleming could have delayed her Toronto concert by a week. I would definitely be in Port Ludlow!!!!!!!
Cheers and red wine, Hazel.

Hats off for the winner!!!!
Any chance of getting a T-shirt if we don’t go to camp??? I LOVE the design and want a shirt!
Tamara
I’m super chuffed about the skein of sock yarn!!! And, those were some fantastic designs. Loved them all. I kinda wanted the treasure map on the back of a shirt (big) and my skull and crossbones on the front (small). And I loved the pirate sheep, so congrats Michelle.
I am desperate for a pirate sheep tee shirt even though I won’t be at Sock Camp. Price is no object(lol). Actually, I want 2 of them(at least)!
Cheers and red wine, Hazel.
Congratulations to Michelle for winning and all the other contestants. They were all really great designs. I’m glad Tina is giving you each at least a skein of yarn for putting your thinking caps on and coming up with such wonderful designs.
Secondly add me to the list of non-campers who would love to be able to get a t-shirt.
Congrats! I really liked some of the designs.
If they don’t or can’t make this available for purchase for non campers. I’ll come up with a design using Captain Woolypants (uh yeah I named him!) and sell it on cafe press for anyone who is interested.
Super pattern for the t- shirt!! Congratulations Michelle. Know you all will have a great time at camp. It’s a wonderful experience !! Have been there for the past 5 years, but will miss this year. Knit on.

How do they find you? I’m hysterical reading the comments. I know you are less than impressed though perhaps equally hysterical.
Cheers and red wine, Hazel.
