I am a HUGE Star Wars fan, nerd, geek, freak…whatever you want to call it. So this is one of my days! And add in the May release of the new movie that looks to be packed with all kinds of wonder. I’m so excited. Solo!!!! Seriously!!!  Okay so with all of this love it’s quite amazing that I do not have one Star Wars colorway, not a one my friends. What is with that. I think my love is so huge I’m a little afraid of not doing it justice and letting my Star War heroes down… maybe? I going with that, it feels right.  Obviously this needs to be rectified and equally as obvious is that I’m going to need some help. So my knitterly  friends who are maybe as Star War obsessed ( you know you are) as I am ~ let’s do this.

Please in the comments section here share with me one of your fav Star Wars movies, moments, heroes, villans….anything goes. I will need a description that shares what speaks to you so I can capture that in color with yarn. I would like to release these before the movie comes out so… we do not have a whole lot of time. ( I do not have a whole lot of time.) Actually…I just remembered I have done a Vader colorway! We will not discuss that this is the only one I have done. It says nothing about me at all! ( lol) It was for Eat Sleep Knit.  Anyway… .

Please share. If I pick yours to create you will get a skein of what we come up with together!! Yay!! I have a full dye staff now so this will happen!!! If you do not want to comment you can send me an email at info@bluemoonfiberarts.com. Please title it Star Wars in the subject line of the email. Thanks for your creative input! I so appreciate it! I do love creating color together. If we could get these in by Wednesday of htis coming week that would be all kinds of awesome!

I love love love Star Wars too! Like most Star Wars geeks, I have many problems with the edited versions of the original trilogy, but my biggest gripe is they got rid of the Ewok “Jub Jub” song at the end of Return of the Jedi. That was one of my favorite memories as a kid…cheesy I know, so sue me.

The very first-Star Wars was my favorite because it was so new and exciting. R2D2 was my favorite character because he was so cute. I was interested and obsessed with the first 3 movies- but not so much the next ones– when Star Wars: The Force Awakens came out my excitement was reunited. I love Finn and BB8.Show us the blue of the skies . The white of the purity and the black of the dark side. Then show the colors of their helpers R2D2 3CPO and BB8 please

Han Solo! He’s always been my favorite. He’s a scoundrel and a hero. Suave and cocky but caring more than he likes. I picture dark colors – grey and navy with a splash of white.

I loved the first (now 4th) Star Wars movie, which i got to see with my Mum, not long before she was killed. I remember tne wonderful scenes with Luke on Tatooine, the yellow sand, and blue sky and the colours of the moons. Brilliant colourway!

And dont forget you had the Rey colourway! Im such a scifi tragic!

My favorite movie is the 1st Star Wars: A New Hope

Luke ‘n Leia – blond and brunette on white/tan – fav scene, swinging across the chasm to evade the Storm Troopers (also white w/ black accents)

    Could be called
    Luke ‘n Leia
    Wonder Twins
    Chasm Crossing
Would You Like to Swing ‘Cross a Chasm
He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother

Don’t ask me to pick a favorite – I was only 14 when A New Hope (#4) came out (my first “date movie”), so I’ve been a fan forever. (Shhh – don’t tell anyone, but DH and I and my friends have been playing in various Star Wars roleplaying games for years; we’ve met all the characters!) 😉

I love R2-D2, BB-8, Rose… so may good heroes and villains, but my favorites would have to be Han and Chewie. Best buds: they’ve always got each other’s backs, they give each other a hard time, but never let each other down. I never cried so hard as when Han died and left Chewie to carry on without him.

So my colors would have to be a combination of the Wookie (browns and golds) and the Corellian (cream shirt, black vest, dark blue pants (a tiny bit of red for the red stripes on the pants).
