Color shifting…

Well we are just about caught up from being completely and thoroughly eclipsed. I am over the moon thrilled that everyone loves it as much as I do.

Look Maggie is knitting a Find Your Fade with two of our Total Eclipse Featherlight Kits. She is just now getting into the darker parts.I can’t wait to see what it looks like when she gets the the total eclipse part of her fade! Pretty exciting!

What are you going to knit with your ~ A Total Eclipse of the Sun ~ gradient kit? I am excited to see all of the knit-incarnations of our eclipse.

Okay enough eclipsing.

We are up to our ears in CAKE!! The CAKE puns and jokes  are also flying around the barn. I love me a good pun so I am finding it exceptionally entertaining. Both Maggie and I are punsters so we are torturing the rest of the team with all kinds of have you cake and… word play. I am so glad that we made sure we had plenty of dyeing time before the first KAL clue in early October.  Our colorway Chana Masala is feeling the love. See below in Carol’s Camira in all of it’s golden glory!!

Even though we are up to our ears in CAKE goodness we still have plenty of yarn     and time so if you want to join was it sure to be a good knit time with all kinds of tip from a very talented and knowledgeable designer, Carol then sign up and pick a colorway and a base and place you order. The coupon code Carol has from us in good for either CAKE Worsted or Targhee Worsted both of these yarns would work well. The Targhee is a heartier yarn with a nice amount of ease and CAKE is a bit softer and loftier with is fine Merino-ness ~ both yarns are seriously round with some sexy stitch definition.

We are heading off into my favorite season, Autumn!!! That time of changing and deepening colors as all of the earth’s energy turns inward for the winter. Yes we’ve got one to give-away.
So if you’d like a chance to win this chocked full of  brilliant and beautiful sock knitting book by Hunter then how about a story?!
Use the words from our colorway list above. I will read them all to team Blue Moon
(they love story time) and let them pick a fav for the win.  You can post it here int eh comments so we all can enjoy but if you would please also email it to me tina@bluemoonfiberarts.com so I have an email address for the winner. We often do these contests and I announce the winner here but don’t get a response.  So…ready set tell us a tale.
Last but certainly not least my dear, dear friend and fiber goddess, Toni Neil of The Fold is holding her annual Labor Day Sale this weekend so if you are anywhere near Marengo this weekend be sure to make time for a visit and some stash enhancing. She also has a few skein of the aforementioned Eclipse sock yarn and kits!!!  I will imagine that these will go pretty quickly!
